Anza’s 2025 Mission, Wormhole Settlement, Yellowstone Fumarole, Solana Across America, MagicBlock x Pyth Lazer

🌵 Anza’s 2025 Mission
Anza is setting an ambitious roadmap for 2025 focused on ramping up the performance of the Agave client, which powers Solana.
The plan is to double block space and eventually hit 1 million transactions per second, thanks to optimizations designed to boost overall network speed, reduce latency, and provide a more robust transaction experience.
For Solana developers, these improvements mean a faster, more efficient blockchain that can handle higher transaction volumes without compromising reliability.
Some key areas of enhancement include:
- Optimized transaction scheduling that better prioritizes high-fee payers and reduces memory bottlenecks
- Enhanced block propagation through improved turbine performance and status cache management
- Faster data storage and retrieval in the blockstore, along with a shift to more efficient hashing algorithms
These changes not only promise significant performance gains today, such as lower slot times and reduced transaction confirmation delays, but they also lay the groundwork for a more scalable and responsive network.

🌌 Wormhole Settlement
Wormhole Settlement is a next-generation protocol to power fast, institutional-scale digital asset transfers across chains.
Wormhole Settlement is designed as a multi-chain solution, but it uses Solana as its central orchestration layer for price discovery and liquidity distribution, which helps deliver fast and efficient cross-chain transfers.
With its launch, developers building DeFi apps can integrate seamless cross-chain functionality without sacrificing speed, security, or liquidity.
At its core, Wormhole Settlement brings together three key protocols that offer redundancy, composability, and competitive speed and cost:
- The Mayan Swift protocol introduces an onchain auction system that shifts competition from speed to price, ensuring users get the best rates when transferring assets.
- The Liquidity Layer leverages Solana as a central hub, enabling solvers to efficiently manage and distribute liquidity across chains, which minimizes the need for capital fragmentation.
- Mayan MCTP provides a reliable fallback, ensuring asset transfers continue smoothly even if the primary systems are momentarily unavailable.
Wormhole Settlement simplifies cross-chain asset transfers and enables developers to build faster DeFi experiences on Solana.

♨️ Yellowstone Fumarole
Yellowstone Fumarole is a new persistent streaming solution from Triton One designed to help Solana developers receive blockchain event data reliably. By aggregating data from several sources into a single, consistent timeline, Fumarole ensures that your applications do not miss important events.
The service is built to maintain high availability and persistence, storing blockchain data in a distributed system and tracking your position in the stream with consumer groups, so if your connection drops, you can easily resume without losing any data.
Fumarole also supports consumer group partitioning, which allows developers to scale their data ingestion and processing tasks more efficiently.
Fumarole is fully compatible with the existing Yellowstone Dragon's Mouth API, making it easy to integrate into current applications with minimal changes.
Additionally, developers can manage the service using the yellowstone-fume CLI tool (see ⚙️ Tools below) or through the Rust client, both of which offer straightforward ways to control consumer groups and stream events.

⭐ Highlights of the Week
Solana Across America
Solana Across America is a series of community-driven events designed to bring together builders, developers, and enthusiasts from across the United States to celebrate and foster collaboration on the Solana blockchain. Meetups, conferences, hackathons, and social mixers will take place in San Francisco, Orange County, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Texas, Miami, New York, and Boston.
MagicBlock x Pyth Lazer
MagicBlock and Pyth have partnered to deliver real-time DeFi solutions on Solana by combining MagicBlock’s high-performance network with Pyth Lazer’s 1ms real-time financial data feeds. Solana developers can now build high-speed, scalable DeFi apps that rival CEX platforms.
Solana read Layer, Accelerated
Trustless Engineering has rebuilt the Solana RPC with modern event streaming and server-side data transformations for better performance and reduced latency across servers, browsers, and mobile devices, while offering pre-built smart modules for flexible data transformation. During beta, usage is available at no cost.
